Amanda is an articled clerk at O'Keefe & Sullivan, where she works primarily with the firm's commercial litigation and insolvency group. Before joining the firm, she completed articles with the Provincial Crown in criminal prosecution, gaining extensive courtroom and litigation experience.
Amanda earned her Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law in 2025. During law school, she represented Dalhousie at the Canadian National Negotiation Moot at McGill University (2024) and was a finalist in the Canadian Law Games Moot (2025). She conducted pro bono research for the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security, focusing on South American states' ratification and implementation of UN conventions on children, peace, and security. Amanda also served as Vice President of Communications for Dalhousie Law Hour, coordinating weekly speaker events featuring leading practitioners, judges, academics, and public figures.
Before attending law school, Amanda completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History at the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, she participated in a fellowship program at Berkeley Law, volunteered with Camp Kesem, mentored students at John Muir Elementary School, and co-developed an interdisciplinary course titled Science, Sense, and Sensibility.
Outside of her legal work, Amanda enjoys yoga, cooking, and exploring new restaurants. She plays the cello and guitar and is a vocalist featured on Ofra Harnoy's album On the Rock, performing the Newfoundland classic Saltwater Joys.
