Madison Budgell | Articling Clerk

Madison is currently an articling student at O'Keefe & Sullivan, working primarily with the commercial litigation and insolvency group. She joined the firm as a summer student in 2023, returned as a summer student in 2024, and is now completing her articles with the firm.

She graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick. During law school, she completed a semester abroad at the University of Graz in Austria, where she gained a deeper understanding of international business law and cross-border transactions.

Prior to law school, Madison completed a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her business background provides valuable insight into the commercial aspects of legal transactions and helps her understand clients' business objectives.

Outside of her legal interests, Madison is actively involved in her community, serving as both secretary and a member of the Youth Engagement Committee with the not-for-profit organization Clean St. John's for the past five years.
