As a partner of the firm, Megan is a backbone of our commercial litigation and disputes resolution group, considered to be a proficient legal writer and thinker. Prior to joining O’Keefe &  Sullivan, Megan spent over a decade at Cox & Palmer, a prominent full-service firm in Newfoundland and Labrador, practicing in a wide array of areas of complex litigation which included bankruptcy and insolvency matters under both the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, construction matters, defamation law, and insurance defence.
Megan has successfully represented clients at all levels of court on contested applications, trials, appeals, and applications for leave to the Supreme Court of Canada. Megan is known for her pragmatic approach, deftly blending legal expertise with a keen understanding of business dynamics to deliver effective solutions for her clients. She has an impressive track record of handling intricate disputes, crafting innovative resolutions, and navigating complex legal challenges, and in doing so has also led many successful negotiations both informally and in mediations and at judicial settlement conferences.
